Country Star John Rich Escorted Off Plane Drunk

Country singer John Rich was kicked off a Southwest flight over the weekend. After boarding the plane drunk and acting out this past Sunday, a news release issued by The National Ledger indicates that Rich apparently played a show the night before at the East Side Cannery Resort and Hotel where he may have had too much fun.

The morning of December 4th Rich reportedly got into a verbal argument with a passenger on board and continued to act erratically in the cabin before he was then removed.  He however, was said to have been “cooperative and calm as he exited the aircraft.”

Since the incident a spokesperson for the 'Trucker Man' singer has spoken out about the incident, reporting that he did in fact have a great time with fans in Las Vegas and there was absolutely not an altercation.  Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Southwest told TMZ another story.  “Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel under governing federal aviation regulations. The customer was rebooked on a later Southwest flight out of Las Vegas, but chose to make alternative travel arrangements. We have processed a refund for the customer and his travel companion.”

It isn't a big secret that John Rich enjoys his cocktails.  Per a recent conversation he had with The Boot, married life has kept him in line.  “If I have nobody to talk to, and nobody to report to at the end of the day, as wild as my life is, I would wind up drinking too much, getting into too much trouble, and my music would suffer.”

The singer is also known for talking about the King James Bible and a Crown Royal with Coca-Cola.  While Rich was escorted off the plane, his concert the night before was said to have been fantastic.  Tweeting to fans, the former Lonestar member said -  “What a great night. Country fans are the best. Thanks for coming out to the show. See you."

The thirty-seven year old will be traveling back to Reno, Nevada next for his scheduled concert, Big and Rich, that is set to take place on New Year's Eve.
