mOBSCENE21's Multi-Boot USB v3.1 - 8GB & 16GB | 11.80GB

This software contains a on grub4dos based Multi-Boot USB with +- 8GB / 16GB of bootable media, mainly intended to repair (Windows) installations. After a successful installation you can boot from the USB drive after which a menu will be presented (see screenshot). Installation is pretty easy, but not for noobs. There's also enough stuff in there that could damage your (Windows) installation, if not used properly.

Another update for my grub4dos USB compilation, which still comes in 8GB and 16GB flavors. (see below for more info on this) This description can also be found inside the software (1-README.txt). Changelog below and included in software (2-CHANGELOG.txt).

Follow these simple steps to get started:

1) Get an USB stick of 8GB minimum
2) Optionally backup the current data on your USB stick
3) Format the USB stick on FAT32 -> I recommend you use the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool for this (included: 3-HPUSBDisk.exe)
4) Perform 'Section 1' of this guide to install the grub4dos MBR to your USB stick: http://www.themudcrab.com/acronis_grub4dos.php (required installation files included: 4-grubinst_gui.exe)
5) Extract archive "5-Extract_to_USB-8GB.7z" entirely to your USB stick
6) If your USB stick is 16GB or larger, _optionally_ extract archive "6-Extract_to_USB-16GB_Add-on.7z" (this will add "Windows Installation Media") entirely to your USB stick, overwriting _all_ existing files

Now boot from your USB stick (from BIOS or a Virtual Machine (VMware is great for this)) and you will be presented with the menu.

Below is a list of software I've included. All is in English, with an exception for the Windows Installation Media (only included in 16GB Addon) -> Dutch language has been added to this part. Windows installations are untouched, except for integration of items in description. You could ofcourse customize it to include your own Windows installation/languages.

Some items might not work (properly) with certain system/memory configurations. If you run into problems, first make sure your USB stick is formatted with the FAT32 filesystem (NTFS gives problems) and your USB stick is defragmented. Too little or too much memory can also be a problem for some items.

This is a group of tools that i use for system repairing, unlocking, and restoring. Inside the 7zip is the iso's and installers, i did not complete the usb mutiboot process where you can choose the tools you want to install, or add more that is not included. i also included Yumm which is what i use for creating a multi booting flash. Within Yum it has the download source for the pre-setup installs. Very easy to use.

YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer), is the successor to MultibootISOs. It can be used to create a Multiboot USB Flash Drive containing multiple operating systems, antivirus utilities, disc cloning, diagnostic tools, and more. Contrary to MultiBootISO's which used grub to boot ISO files directly from USB, YUMI uses syslinux to boot extracted distributions stored on the USB device, and reverts to using grub to Boot Multiple ISO files from USB, if necessary.

Aside from a few distributions, all files are stored within the Multiboot folder, making for a nicely organized Multiboot Drive that can still be used for other storage purposes.

Creating a YUMI Multiboot MultiSystem USB Flash Drive
YUMI works much like Universal USB Installer, except it can be used to install more than one distribution to run from your USB. Distributions can also be uninstalled using the same tool!

How to Create a MultiBoot USB Flash Drive

Run* YUMI-0.0.2.6.exe following the onscreen instructions
Run the tool again to Add More ISOs/Distributions to your Drive
Restart your PC setting it to boot from the USB device
Select a distribution to Boot from the Menu and enjoy!
That's all there is to it. You should now be booting your favorite distributions from your custom Multi-Boot USB device!

How It Works: YUMI (Your Universal Multiboot Installer) enables each user to create their own custom Multiboot UFD containing only the distributions they want, in the order by which they are installed. A new distribution can be added to the UFD each time the tool is run.

If you run YUMI from the same location you store ISO downloads, they should be auto-detected (*See Known Issues Below), eliminating the need to browse for each ISO.

VERY IMPORTANT: Windows Vista or 7 Installers will cause Ubuntu or any remix based on Ubuntu (I.E. Linux Mint) to hang during boot. A quick fix is to temporarily rename the Windows SOURCES folder found at the root of the USB device.

Other Notes: If MultibootISOs was previously used, you must reformat the drive and start over. YUMI uses Syslinux directly, and chainloads to grub only if necessary, so it is not compatible with the older Multiboot ISO tool. Although I do plan to add back the capabilities of MultibootISOs as time permits.

The distro uninstaller works great, but unlisted ISO's that have been added must currently be manually removed!
